Start with expectations
A new colleague needs more than access to systems. Discuss what contribution looks like, who makes decisions and which priorities come first. Clear expectations give learning a direction.
Make the organization understandable
Consider the relationships, handovers and informal ways of working a person needs to understand. A named point of contact and regular conversations can reveal gaps that a checklist misses.
Review the experience
Ask what remains unclear and where progress gets blocked. Look beyond the individual: a recurring problem may point to roles, processes or culture that need attention.
